[Dec 9] What made me smile today?

Date: Dec 9, 2014

“The Smile Project” is about focusing on the happy things in life and making the effort to record and remember them. By the end of this project, I hope to have a huge list of things that made me smile at some point in life. You can join as well. 🙂

My Bouquet of Smiles for Today:

1) The Little Girl:

As I was walking home from work today, a little girl was trying to stand on the ice in the skating area of the park. With her regular boots on, she was slipping continuously and her father was helping her not fall flat on the ground. Regardless, she kept trying and slipping and laughing. It was a very cute sight and it made me smile. I will call it, “Unfamiliar”.

2) The Jingle Bells song:

All day I have been singing Jingle Bells in my mind but not exactly Jingle Bells. I have been making variations of the song such as, “How are you? How are you? How are you today? So you think I’m crazy, oh oh, oh well that’s okay!” LOL! I don’t actually know the words of the real song but the tune was stuck in my head, most probably from listening to Christmas song instrumentals.

3) The Old Show:

Just watching my all time favourite korean show, 9 ends 2 outs, and hearing the tidbits between two close friends never fails to make me laugh.

Today’s Conclusion

Today felt like a very long day even though it’s just Tuesday. There are times when you just feel like a globe all day long. On those days, just sleep well.

Thanks a lot for reading. 🙂

Stay warm,

A girl who loves smiling like flowers!

  1. So funny !! Jingle bells are modernizing 😀

  2. Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! Oh what fun it is tonight in a one horse open sleigh! Jingle bells jingle bells… I think I like your version better. 😀 Sounds like a nice day of smiles! I had to go to the UPS office and stand in line and freeze to mail a large envelope and it cost $12! I complained about the price. That didn’t make me smile. When I gave her my debit card she handed me the receipt and I started to put it in my purse. She said, “Oh no, you have to sign that.” I said, “What? Last week they didn’t make me sign it!” She said, “You have to sign it so we can get our money.” I started laughing, “Oh, maybe that means my package last week was free!” She gave me this funny look. I walked out laughing! That has been my day of smiles. 😀

Leave a few smiles!
