My relationship with God

As an Indian, we are born with a great gift: the understanding that God exists. It is not something that is questioned like in the western world. It is simply an understanding we have. Until I came to Canada, I had never heard of the term ‘atheist’. Upon finding out about it I was kind of shocked. The fact that a human could exist without understanding of God puzzled me. I had never heard of anyone who did not believe in God. People around me always thanked God for their existence and everything they had in life. There are even…

2018 – A year of video making

I was thinking of spending my Sunday evening the usual way: watching Netflix. But then I realized I should probably do something productive. These days I have been spending my time dreaming (my 2018 vision). Ideas are flooding into my head and quite honestly, I am not doing a good job of writing them down. I post a video once a month on what’s been making me smile…

The Power of Mind

Everyday, I read amazing articles from around the world and each written word gives me something new to think about. Today, I want to share some articles from people who have made amazing changes in their lives. It really helped me understand how my mind was controlling my life and how I can free myself from it. Here’s an excerpt: For years and years, I identified myself with my mind. I thought I was the mind. What a…

Date: Dec 22, 2014 Introduction “The Smile Project” is about focusing on the happy things in life and making the effort to record and remember them. By the end of this project, I hope to have a huge list of things that made me smile at some point in life. You can join as well. 🙂 My Bouquet of Smiles for Today:  1) The Making of Pita Bread: What a joy it is to make something new in the kitchen :D. Since I have been addicted to Pita bread recently, I thought I’d try making it myself. So finally after letting the dough rise…

Top 3 Guided Meditation Videos

When I first heard about meditation, I laughed at the idea. Regardless, I tried it and learned that it wasn’t for me. I mean seriously, staying silent for a few minutes? It just wasn’t possible. The noises in your head get louder and louder if you try to be silent for a few minutes lol. At least that’s what I found at that time. I found it to be very frustrating and annoying. I know people meditate differently and what takes one person away from the world of thoughts does not necessarily work for another person. Today, I am going…
