My Experience at Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour Regina

One of the things I try to do once in a while is to check out random events in the community. Initially, I had no idea what this event was supposed to be about; I just saw them setting up the tents in the parks from my office window and since I had absolutely no attachment to Hockey, I didn’t really think it was worth checking out. After making myself many excuses to not go out, I finally decided to walk through the park as I was going to buy milk and man, did I stay there! 😛 As soon as…

Smile Project Moments [5] – The Warmth of Cold

There are times when the snow falls in a very dreamy way. Even though it’s falling, it feels as if it wants to stay in the air just a bit longer. As you look through the window, you see the snow stopping mid-air as if taking the time to look at you and then dancing around before finally giving up to gravity and falling a bit lower. It’s almost as if it finds joy in hanging around in the air a bit longer before ultimately hitting the ground and being stuck in one place. This video is from one of…

Right Here In My Heart

It’s been a while since I posted any photos. The camera in my new phone (16MP) is way way better than my old iPod (1.3MP) but I still seem to keep reaching for the iPod to take a picture. I guess it reminds me of what’s real in a photo. I must never forget what’s real no matter however many awesome cameras I move onto in the future. What’s real… is the heart of a person. Here’s a glove-off, glove-on photo taken on my way home from work today. It’s been extremely cold here this week and the “real feel” temperatures reached…

The Story of my Life

The winds are cold. The mind is weary. That is the state of affairs this week. I have been waking up, going to work, studying after work, taking pictures in between for the photography class, coming home by the time it’s dark outside yet once again, doing some breathing exercises, trying to cook, watching Christmas movies, falling asleep and doing the same thing the next day. It’s not bad. I am spending time on everything that’s important to me. For now, in this dreary weather, that is enough. I have been feeling a bit phased out though. Getting tired of…

The Chill

Today, I took the lovely chance to head out of the house. Last few days had been pretty warm with snow melting and raining. And the sun just made everything look so awesome. Oh dear sun, I love how you never fail to deceive me (Still, love you). I checked the weather. -11C. Not so bad with the sun. Took the liberty to spend an hour curling my hour (which seriously I never do!). For some reason I had this idea of looking beautiful against the beautiful white snow (oh did I tell you? It snowed again last night after…

Dried lips

Most of the times, the moments are forgotten. The life is lived. The heart is terrified. Dried lips. Cold is here. Winds are chilly. Pathways are blocked. Dried lips. Plants are dying. Energies are wilting. The world is snowing. Dried lips. There’s some Hi’s. Some goodbyes. But laughter’s still floating. Dried lips. October’s come and gone.  Memories are still warm. Life’s on track. Dried lips.

Scary Cold Winters

In response to Your Personality on the Page One of my biggest fears in life is to be left alone outside in the deep cold and have no home to go to. I can imagine myself wandering in the cold with pounds and pounds of clothing in which I find it really hard to walk. Yet, there is no other option. To be in the middle of the world roaming around like a dot as seen from a far far planet. To be alone in a land of all white to the distance where white meets the sky. The cold…

The Canadian Winds

Every year, Canadians enjoy a very beautiful and warm summer. While going through such a wonderful time however, we do forget about what’s ahead. That is exactly what happened to me today. On any sunny day, a normal person in a normal place would have a wonderful day. Unfortunately, not in Canada. After a whole week of rain and gloominess, I finally saw the sun peeping through the window and got all excited. “What a wonderful day to shop in the other end of the city,” I thought. As I stepped out of the house, the terrorizing preview of what’s…
